Central Park Hoodie

I went into my local yarn store, Patricia’s Yarns, this afternoon to take advantage of the annual Superbowl sale. I love being in the yarn store there are so many colors, textures, patterns, ideas and great conversations.

I have learned to temper my over eager eyes and focus on (more or less) one project at a time. I know a lot of knitters who can happily go between several works in progress but for me having multiple items on needles tends to give me stress. I prefer to have one item in the works, two at most.

My new project is The Central Park Hoodie which I am making for myself. I’ve wanted to make this sweater for ages, long before I had the skill to create it. I doubt I’ll finish it in time to wear it this year but that’s okay.

We narrowed down my yarn choices to ones that would work well with the pattern and then to the ones that had enough skeins on hand today. I’m happy with my choice.

I’ve just watched the first few episodes of Nurse Jackie, which is amazing, and while watching I’ve already knit up the first inch of the sweater.

If you knit, you should be on ravelry, its crack for knitters. And if you are there this is me.
