A bit of a late start to my day, I didn’t set the alarm and slept in until 7:30. Then while still warm and cozy I heard Satirius Johnson say it was 37 degrees, I’m not sure why, but I decided that meant it warm.
I recall fondly a time where as long as the cute thermometer that hung just outside the back porch read above 30 I ran outside. I also recall less fondly that I regularly and conveniently forget that this number did not take into account the inevitable wind chill off of the Atlantic. I’d notice the wind chill immediately as I set out to run my 4 miles on the boardwalk. This morning’s run, with the wind off the Hudson brought these memories to mind. Cold as I was, I’m thrilled to have been liberated from the treadmill.
And I discovered apparently there is battery in the apple/nike chip thingy (lets call it iRun) because when i popped it in this morning my screen told me the battery was low, and then it died before my run ended. 
It’s been a busy week, Thursday I went to two publishing meet ups. The first was “How to Market Yourself and Books While You’re at it” As always, it was interesting but I didn’t walk away with as much information or food for thought as I have from other meetings. The second was Digital Book World’s 7x20x21 Pecha Pecka. That was terrific, the presentations were interesting and it was very nice to be around such optimistic peeps in publishing.
Yesterday was webinar day. The first was the Digital Book World Roundtable which was really interesting and for me really exciting as they were talking about where the new positions need to grow in publishing and what got me so excited was that they are all in areas that I’m interested in.
The second webinar was more of a direct eLearning class on Data Asset Management. It was a bit long at an hour and a half. I think I learned a few things but mostly I knew the core of the information presented.
